Italian Spinone's name cleared after allegations that it killed a lamb

On 8th July, Dr Mugford gave evidence at Aylesbury Magistrates Court to defend a Spinone accused of killing a lamb in a neighbour's paddock.  Following a thorough assessment of the dog "Trinny", including examining her behaviour around 3 of his own bottle lambs, Dr Mugford declared Trinny's innocence and provided a detailed report to the court stating as such.  Furthermore, after careful examination of photographs used as evidence, Dr Mugford concluded that the lamb was already dead when Trinny was seen with it.  He also proposed that Trinny was framed, as it was unlikely that she escaped from her garden without assistance.

After a long day in court, the Magsitrates found in favour of Dr Mugford's evidence and the charge against Trinny's owner was dismissed.
